You can make an appointment by first completing the “referral form” tab at the top of the website page, or the “therapy enrollment” button on the homepage, or call the office at 718.363.0100 to speak with an intake coordinator who will gather the information needed to begin the intake process for therapy.

You should be prepared to share your story and reasons for what led you to seek therapy. You will not be pressured by your therapist to share secrets if you are not comfortable or ready. However, it is best to be open, honest, and trust the therapeutic journey.

There is nothing, in particular, you should bring to your therapy session unless your therapist asks you to bring something to discuss (e.g. therapy homework assignment, journal, etc). You should be on time for your session and let your therapist know if you have any conflicts with scheduling ahead of time.

Considering that all therapy sessions are provided through Telehealth (phone or video) during the COVID-19 pandemic, you will not need someone for support unless they are assisting with providing information during the intake phase. Outside of the pandemic, you can bring a person with you for support but they are not able to go into your session with you due to privacy and confidentiality policies. They can stay in the waiting room while you’re in session, but it is encouraged to come by yourself due to the small space capacity.
